Synopsis
Two Afghan refugee siblings are separated in early childhood. Their mother passes away and the son of the family cannot attend the funeral due to the pandemic, leaving his sister to make funeral arrangements by herself. They are in two different parts of the world, living in different cultural contexts. The harsh conditions for Afghan refugee women in Iran are not comparable to the comfortable lifestyle the brother is living in Sweden. This leaves him feeling shameful and guilty because he knows of the xenophobia against Afghan refugees in Iran. Via video call, the brother gets the opportunity to do right by himself and talk to his sister about his feelings but long kept secrets unravel causing the sister to react differently than expected.
